What’s New in the 2022 Chevy Suburban
For 2022, the new Chevy Suburban sees a few changes. However, what is new is more availability for the optional 420-hp 6.2-liter V-8 engine, now offered on the RST, Z71, and Premier trims. All trims but the base LS now feature a customizable 12.3-inch digital gauge cluster and a revised infotainment system that's been enhanced with tech such as a voice assistant, maps, and an app store. The Suburban also adds newly standard automatic high beams, front and rear parking sensors, lane-keeping assist, and more.
Highlights of the New Chevy Suburban
As an eight-seat SUV, the Suburban comes in six available trims: LS, LT, RST, Z71, Premier, and High Country. The Chevy Suburban is powered by one of three powertrains. The base powertrain is a 5.3-liter 355 horsepower V8, while a 6.2-liter 420 horsepower V8 and an optional turbocharged 277 horsepower diesel engine can be found in higher trims.
Throughout each of its six trims is a plethora of features and amenities. Depending on the trim, drivers could experience several features, including LED headlights, a 10-speaker audio system, a wireless phone charger, a blind-spot monitor, and others.
